The Prayer & Fasting Ministry of Bethany Fellowship seeks to abide by the imperative given by Jesus, in declaring the “when” of Prayer & Fasting, rather than the “if” (Matthew 5:5 & 16).  The Prayer & Fasting ministry is tasked with planning and coordinating the prayer and fasting process and activities of the church.  This include helping to coordinate weekly Prayer Meetings, other corporate prayer meetings and calling the church to a time of prayer & fasting, communicated though the leadership of the church (elders).  The Prayer & Fasting ministry is headed by a committee, made up of a minimum of three (3) persons.  However, the ministry is not restricted to members of the committee, since prayer is considered to the “Christian’s breath” and thus the need for all Christians to be constantly in prayer.  In short, the Prayer & Fasting ministry is expected to be in tune with the “spiritual pulse of the church”.
